To stop the impending definite closure of the cinema in autumn 1997, movie enthusiasts, cultural interested people and most of all fans of the old plushy cinema founded the cinema club Bordesholm in December of the same year. With a new utilisation concept and enormous engagement by the citizens from Bordesholm and surrounding area it was possible to ensure the future of the cinema.

The different direction of the theatre in the Savoy guarantee not only that there is something for (nearly) all visitors but is also a current mirror of the German cabaret scene.
