Animal Park Ark Warder
The Ark Warder — charmingly situated between Warder- and Brahm Lake right in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein — is Europe's largest centre for rare and endangered domestic and working animal breeds.
On 40 hectare Angler-saddlebacks, Telemark-cattle, Old Oldenburger horses, curly breasted Sebastopol, Westphalian chickens – there are around 800 animals of 70 different species, which live together here.
In the past widespread, today many of these breeds count less than 200 animals worldwide.
A dangerously low figure. Because the minimum stock numbers for stock preservation are depending on breed between 5000 to 7500 animals.
Future for endangered domestic and working animals!
